photography in art - 99 rooms

Long time ago, painting is considered the only way to capture a beauty of something artistically that conveys all the emotion and feeling of author to viewers. However, technology jumped in and made a revolution to the way people created and understood the art. It is photography.

Photography is both art and science. It's true because photographers are required to apply their technical skills about their cameras and capturing techniques as well as conveying the emotion and feeling to viewers.
It's actually not an easy job to get all of the requirement done in one photo. The result is often excellent in technique but lack of emotion.

When this trend first came in the mid 1800s, lots of argument happened  about if photography should be considered new medium of the art. The question was raised at that time is :"do photographers count a actual artist, or it is the working of a machine". However, the Imperial Court finally approved the artistic characteristic of photography.
In 19th century, photography was brought into use popularly.
Lisa N.Jones, a Durham based waitress and mix media artist, said :" Probably the biggest thing that changed the art world, ever, was the camera".

Since the raise of using photography and the need to improve photo's quality and to publish them, technology has rapidly provided users bunches of editing softwares as well as the use of Internet.
Photos now can be edited beyond your imagination !
Internet becomes the most convenient for lots of artists as they post their artwork to the internet, like Lisa.
It seems people have found a new canvas for photography world.
Online, all the texture is gone,
One of the most outstanding and well known website of art gallery is 99rooms. 99 rooms content 99 artworks which were mixed up in Photoshop and flash softwares into a haunting game. The atmosphere of the page is little bit scary and apocalyptic and has a sense of mystery. Therefore it has attracted lots of people entering.
